About The Author

Leslie Wilmer is a native Washingtonian, mother,wife,and educator who currently resides in Maryland,. She attended Lincoln University in Pennsylvania and is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. In 2021 she was nominated Teacher of the year at Maya Angelou Schools in Washington, D.C. She is also the Chairperson of the Electives Department and the After School Program Coordinator. She is the founder of Teens In Action (TIA), a group for teenage girls,and Crumb Snatchers, a travel group for young people, She enjoys cooking,dancing,and spending time with her family.
